Training Services
Our dogs are supposed to be our best friends... but sometimes getting there takes a little help.
Whether you're bringing home a new puppy, want to brush up on house manners or are dealing with more severe behavior problems, our passion and experience will help build a solid foundation for training that ensures lifelong results.
Why work with Instinctual Canine?
Well, for starters, you'll get to work with an Animal Behavior College Certified Dog Trainer and a Professional Member of the International Association of Canine Professionals whose fully insured and consistently attending educational seminars and taking online courses to further my education. I'm also an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator and a certified therapy dog instructor.

Private Lessons
In-Home
60-90 Minutes
In our initial lesson we'll go over the foundations necessary for long-term success in training. We'll cover how to effectively communicate with your dog, teaching you how to teach and your dog how to learn, impulse control, engagement, and more. Each follow up lesson will be customized to suit your unique goals.
Group Classes
Highland Heritage Park
60 Minutes
*Dogs must complete private lessons or be evaluated to ensure they have the skills necessary to be successful before attending group classes.
Our group classes are done on a drop-in basis to allow for you to attend whenever is convenient for you! We’ll work on obedience, neutrality, and calm behavior around dogs, people, and other distractions while keeping our classes small enough that you'll still get personalized, hands-on help.
Walk & Train

30-45 Minutes
Could your dog use some extra practice with leash manners?
Done in conjunction with private lessons, our trainer will stop by to walk your dog and get in some extra hands-on practice while you relax at home. We recommend 3-4 walk & trains per week followed by a private lesson so we can teach you what we practiced and how to continue.

Haven’t brought your puppy home yet but want to be prepared for when you do?
We’ll consult with you to help you navigate crate training, potty training, house training, and socialization so that your puppy is set up for success from the moment you bring them home.
